Holliday Builders is a design/build construction firm of national scope, with roots deep in small-town Texas.

Growing up in a close-knit community, you learn the value of a good reputation. People talk. Word gets around. No matter how big you become, you remember that every job reflects the character and integrity upon which your future depends. People give you their business when you earn it through past performance.

Holliday Builders has earned its business on an increasingly national scale for more than two decades.

The company began as a father-son partnership in 1980, taking on restoration and adaptation of the treasured Victorian architecture of Galveston, Texas—an island now world famous for its historic preservation and revitalization. They gained a good reputation on several noteworthy restorations of single family homes early in the revitalization of Galveston’s East End Historical District, then branched out into commercial and retail projects in the Island’s architecturally significant Strand Historical District.

Their work caught the eye of historical redevelopment pioneer and oilman George P. Mitchell. By their performance on several of his projects, they earned contracts with some of Mitchell’s Galveston tenants to perform the same level of workmanship on offices in other parts of the country.

Soon Holliday Builders was a national firm, applying its talents to multi-family construction and rehab projects in addition to retail and commercial construction.

The more clients they served, the more the Hollidays came to appreciate the values of the design/build construction model. With this synergistic approach, projects are designed to suit the client’s original budget, and the economies of scale of a national firm facilitate quality results within that budget.
